The future can still seem somewhat uncertain in these times so to air on the side of caution – and safety, perhaps reducing your guest list may be a step forward for some. Rest assured a small wedding doesn’t have to be any less special, if anything it can be even more as a much more intimate affair or even elopement can still be a day to cherish forever…

If your numbers are less than you hoped for, what once was your bridal party & groomsmen may not be a significant part of your overall attendees so instead of having them stand beside you why not have them seated with your guests. After all, the fun part is having them get ready with you in our Bridal suite! Many covid brides are opting for a special girls night right before the wedding to ensure you have some quality time together

With your guest list cut down a more intimate wedding can be a blessing, now you may feel more comfortable with certain things like using this opportunity to write your own unique vows. Some couples may do this regardless of the number of guests, some will find it difficult to express their deep (soppy) feelings in front of a larger gathering, after such a crazy turn of events and stressful times reminding your partner of how much you love them and they mean to you now is a better time than ever.

Let’s talk favours! With a smaller wedding party it’s much easier to spend time, effort and (hopefully) money on the little things for your guests from the favours to welcome bags, which make great ‘care packages’ for your guests! You can gift things like flip flops, paracetamol (for the after wedding hangover), wedding fans, small bottles of champagne or wine, personalised gifts and of course some sanitizer & a mask so they’re prepared!

Entertainment

If dancing is an issue or you’d rather not opt for it under the given circumstances then why not have some fun entertainment for your guests! Outdoor games are great fun for the little ones and big kids alike, you can hire some fun large connect 4, jenga games, skittle ring toss and more, that your friends and family will love. Hiring a caricaturist to create hilarious caricatures for you and guests can also double as a unique favour for your guests to take home!

And who says you have to do it just once? Two-part weddings have been on the rise since covid, allowing couples to keep their wedding date as planned having their Wedding abroad AND getting to do it all over again in the UK or just the wedding reception when restrictions are relaxed at a later date. While for some this may sound ideal and for others a planning nightmare the choice is always yours and nothing is off the cards – your wedding can be whatever you want it to be!
