Whilst there are still some uncertainties about the future we mustn’t let that get in the way! The best way to plan for your COVID19 wedding right now is to plan with what we know, for some that may mean a smaller wedding than hoped or moving your ceremony and reception outdoors. Good news – our venues for both ceremonies and receptions are outside anyways!
It goes without saying that aside from marrying your best friend, it is of the utmost importance that couples must keep the health and safety of guests at the forefront if they’re hosting a wedding during the pandemic. At Liopetro we follow all of the health and safety guidelines as instructed from the Ministry of Health. We have hand sanitizing stations around the venue, all of our staff wear face masks, we are in line with the current number of persons allowed based on our indoor and outdoor spaces and we disinfect all the areas of the venue after each function.
Planning your COVID19 wedding should still be one of the happiest times of your life and whether you’re planning it from abroad or locally, we’re happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have via emails, zoom or over the phone to help you plan your day efficiently and safely.
Once you have your venue and wedding date booked it’s time to research your other vendors and suppliers online. Check out their websites and scroll their social media channels for reviews and their previous work. Don’t forget to also ask some of your other vendors and us for recommendations too. Try to have one-on-one conversations with them, now more than ever your suppliers will love to get to know you more and book a zoom, facetime or skype call with you to help you make your wedding planning even easier and help both you, the couple, and them get a sense of each other’s personalities and if they’ll be the right fit for you.
Dress shopping in these times can also be a different experience but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun and find ‘the one’. Start by looking online at your local retailers, what designers they carry and what’s within your budget range. This will help you narrow down the places you want to visit and make the most out of your time doing so. Be sure to book with your chosen boutiques and check how many people you will be allowed to bring with you on the day as it will depend on the size of the shop and if there are other appointments happening at the same time also.
If you’re planning a Wedding in 2022 or later from abroad it’s advisable to (pandemic permitting) fly over to Cyprus to see your venues and perhaps a supplier or two in person to help you not only see them before your big day but also to have a break just the two of you (+ family even), destress and reflect on why you’re getting married.
